About Long Beach

Long Beach is a recreation-first lake community in Maize, a J. Russell Communities development on the northwest edge of the metro. Its private lake is built for a day on the water: jet skiing, paddleboarding, kayaking, and swimming off a sandy community beach.

It is designed for easy living. A swimming pool, playground, and pickleball and basketball courts sit alongside the beach, and lawn mowing and irrigation are included, so the amenities are there to enjoy rather than maintain.

Long Beach sits near 53rd Street North and Maize Road, just east of K-96 in Maize, a few minutes from west-side shopping and dining and an easy drive into Wichita.

Long Beach is served by the Maize school district (USD 266). Because attendance areas can shift, we will confirm the exact elementary, middle, and high school for your specific lot.

Sharp Homes builds custom homes in Long Beach. Start from one of our 72 floor plans and modify it with our in-house architect, or design a fully custom home that frames the lake. We do not mark up material costs, and we communicate cost throughout the build.

On a lakefront lot, the plan usually starts with the view: where the main living space, deck, and primary suite face the water. That is exactly what our in-house architect works through with you.
